Be
Consistent With Your Dog Obedience Training
When
obedience dog training always use his favourite titbits when he does
something right along with plenty of praise. Sometimes you will praise
him even if he only part completes the command. For example training
your dog to sit, if he just partially bends his hind legs praise him
profusely whilst giving him his titbit and you will find after a number
of times he will automatically sit down properly.
Do not underestimate your dog. Dogs are very intelligent and that means
that training your dog basic obedience techniques will not be too
difficult if you follow, and stick to, a proper plan with your goals in
mind. Here is some solid dog obedience training advice for you:
Be Right on Time
The timing of critiques and praises need to be regular when you are dog
training. Dog obedience training allows little room for error. If you
want your dog to obey you, your dog needs to understand that you want
that—no matter what, all the time. If you do not advise or praise the
dog while the action is occurring, it can be too late to ever change
his habits. In dog training dog, you may need to assist the dog as the
action is occurring.
Be Consistent
When dog obedience training, you need to be consistent. If you want
your dog to pee on the grass out front, never let him pee out back.
This type of dog training is very particular, when it comes to
consistency, so ensure that you follow basic principles that you want
to inflict on your dog’s learning habits.
If you do not want your dog to go on the sofa, then he should not ever
be allowed on that sofa—or on your bed. In dog obedience training you
learn that dogs do not understand the concept of sometimes. They only
understand yes or no, there is no room for maybe.
Good Job!
When we are in basics dog training mode training our dog in obedience
techniques, we often center on perfection in our dog but do not
congratulate the dog’s good behavior as much as we should. If your dog
is sitting where you want him to be sitting and minding his own
business, tell him he is a good dog. In dog obedience training we
believe in giving praise when the dog is not being naughty.
Standing Your Ground
Again in basics dog training mode If you do not show your dog who is
boss, your dog just may show you. You have to command your dog when dog
obedience training. Do not be weak or shaky when you ask for an action.
Gradually as he responds you find dog training very pleasant and
rewarding.
